Sorry for delays...two new sketches have been added. It has been a very long time since I regularly drew anything and I need to get back into the habbit. Hopefully this is the beginning.

The illustrations I did for my church's recent Parables teaching series are now up in the digital art section. The idea was to do simple, one-page illustrations in a sort of cartoon/comic style, which was a stretch for me; I like to put a lot of detail into my art. Now that I am finished with those, it is time to start painting again.

The art page is back up. A couple new digital projects have been added, and more will come shortly; I am still waiting on photos of my latest paintings.
I've found a great new way to keep track all the webcomics that I read. It is a tracker site called Piperka. The creator of the site has written a creeper program that will alert you when each webcomic for which you are signed up has a new page. It's very useful!

I am currently working up some slight revisions to the site structure and layout, so the art page is down for now. In the meantime, you can view my latest complete project: Home. It is a short graphic novel written by my friend Amy Susan and illustrated by myself. It is about Amy's grandfather, whom she visits every week in the Alzheimer's home.

www.bnichol.com Version 2.0! It was about time I got this place a new, streamlined face, wasn't it? The site is much more simple now, with a lot of useless extraneous stuff taken out and a few new features added. The "Brenton" page tells you a bit about myself and my pursuits. The Artwork page now allows you to open up a selection of galleries in which you can click through different collections of my artwork. These collections include some of my latest paintings and drawings, as well as various cartoons. My links have been updated as well; be sure to check them all out.
Most of what I have done in the past year has been painting, so the Paint Gallery will contain my most up-to-date artwork. However, I have several new digital projects on the horizon as well as a full-length graphic novel conceptualized. Updates with new artwork should be fairly consistent. Stay tuned.
